What's more likely: dying from a shark attack, or dying from falling airplane parts? Surprisingly, the answer is falling airplane parts. But why does our intuition point us towards shark attacks?

The answer lies in the heuristic WYSIATI ("what you see is all there is") rule, which describes how our minds evaluate decisions based on how easily we can think of good and bad examples to back up both sides.

Prior to our upcoming Introduction Weekend in May 2018, Raleigh KL is running a forum with a "premortem" approach by discussing potential problems and evolving the way we communicate ideas. We invite everyone who has contributed to the success of the past long-running IWs to speak up about their reservations during the all-important planning phase.

It will be an evening of positive discussions, strategic thinking, and great reminiscence!

Date: Saturday, 24 March 2018
Venue: TTDI (address will be disclosed when you RSVP)
Time: 4PM-7PM

The time to repair the roof is, indeed, when the sun is shining. We truly believe a tiny leak in a roof would be a big problem if we are repairing it in a rainstorm. Let's work on improving our IW's chance of success together!
