September 2017: Kechara Food Bank
Good day to you! Raleigh Kuala Lumpur is collaborating with Kechara Food Bank in this awesome September monthly meet.
Have you heard about Kechara Food Bank? Well, please do not get confused with Kechara Soup Kitchen. Kechara Food Bank was launched in May 2012. Its purpose is to serve the marginalized community who have difficulty purchasing enough food to avoid hunger by offering assistance with basic household necessities such as cooking oil and rice. Kechara aims to prevent more people from becoming homeless as urban poverty group is vulnerable to become homeless.
If you are aged 16 and above, we would like to invite you to join this meaningful event on a Saturday morning. Let’s contribute our little effort and time to the society and at the same time you will be meeting new awesome friends too :)

Location of activity: Assemble in the soup kitchen premises (No.17 Jalan Barat, Off Jalan Imbi, 55100 Kuala Lumpur) first for packing before heading out to deliver the packed groceries to designated poor families.
Nature of activity: Volunteers will be involved in packing of dry food provisions into boxes and to be distributed to the poor families directly to their door step. A list of poor families consisting their addresses and contact numbers will also be provided for contact before volunteers embark on their journey to deliver the provisions over.
