November 2016: Waterfall Cleanup
Our pun-filled enthusiast Secretary 2 of Raleigh Kuala Lumpur, Charina, was enjoying her weekend trek up to Lepok on one fine day when all she expected was to be greeted by the cold, crystal clear fall and Mother Nature's slide but not only was she greeted by those, she was also greeted by heaps of rubishes and flies surrounding the area. To pour more salt to your wounds, there were even rubishes along the trek route as well! Shame!
Disappointed but brimming with fire, Charina is now rallying up her Raleigh members and YOU to help clean up Lepok! Malaysia is graciously blessed with amazing natural wonders, so let's not tarnish what was given but appreciate and preserve.
"WATER you doing on 26th November!?" as Charina would say, and without a further ado, here are the details of the event:
When: You heard it, it's on the 26th of November 2016, Saturday!
Where: Lepok Falls, Hulu Langat
What time: 7am @ Kelana Jaya LRT Station
Fee: RM10 (Member) // RM15 (Non-Member) *
Registration Link: https://goo.gl/zmMTBl
* fee includes transportation from Kelana Jaya Station to the Falls and back to KJ Station, lunch, snacks and materials/tools to do the cleaning!
Just a little bit more information on the event -- It'll take a 2 hour trek to reach up Lepok, a small waterfall, hence, we will only be opening up to a small group of gungho people, so do register ASAP!
Hence, do sign up to spend your weekend helping the environment and at the same having a great time at it!
If you have any questions, feel free to nudge Charina at 017-3818662 or drop us an email at monthlymeet@raleighinternational.org.my
See you all! :)
