Raleigh KL at the Golden Globe Tiger Awards 2016

The Golden Globe Tigers Award 2016 is the highest recognition amongst individual and organizations who have achieved the highest levels of standards and benchmark in numerous areas such as CSR, Social Media & Digital Marketing, Education Leadership Award and so on. The award ceremony took place in Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences on the 11th of April, where a number of respectable attendees were present not only from Malaysia but from many different parts of the world such as Iceland, Saudi Arabia, India, China, South Africa and such! Among the respectable, Sunway University, Maybank, Star Media Group Berhad, and even Iflix and many, many more were there to accept their Golden Globe Tigers! It was definitely a humbling experience to be in the same room as these long-standing organizations in Malaysia and of course, globally and we're glad that Raleigh Kuala Lumpur has gotten this far!

Lo and behold, our current president, Chin Liang Keat received an award from the Golden Globe Tigers Award 2016 for Excellence in NGO Leadership Award on behalf of Raleigh Kuala Lumpur! Beyond proud and honored, here's what Liang Keat has got to say about accepting this award:

"I'm sincerely humbled and honored to be receiving the NGO Leadership Award. I am proud to say that this award belongs to everyone who has contributed to Raleigh Kuala Lumpur one way or another, hence I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our project partners and alumni, especially all past and present committee members. We are where and who we are now because of your efforts! Special thanks to Raleigh International and all other support groups for their continuous support and guidance.
As we strive to be a successful and sustainable youth developmental organization, I am grateful to say that we have indefinitely made a difference in our communities through, for and with youth."

As what Liang Keat mentioned, Raleigh KL would definitely not be who and where we are now if it isn't with the continuous support and guidance from our alumni and our volunteers. After all, our volunteers are our driving force that keeps us moving forward. A massive thank you to everyone! We hope that this is just the beginning to a much more endless and worthwhile journey!
